Update: Motorola clarified this tweet, saying they plan to release a 'TIMELINE' of scheduled releases 6 weeks after it's official release. Not the update itself.

I don't think they need to, they already confirmed an update for late Oct/Early Nov. several times.

Unfortunately, Matt, Motorola Forums Manager, just gave a 30 - 60 day time frame for the issue update for the Bionic, not ICS. I hope you are right because ICS would probably be after that update. Stunning announcement. Hope he was being extremely pessimistic.

You know Im not sure if my line of thinking is accurate. But as far as the unlock/re-lock bootloader and VZW holding out.... The Xoom has it. I just re-unlocked mine after the 4g upgrade. So why wouldn't they allow it on the Bionic?... If it does in fact get unlocked we'll see ICS long before its official. Im trying to be optimistic here! Lol
