Notification alerts

I am loving this phone so far and just found out about text-to-speach and vice versa and how accurate it is. Anyway, is there anyway to set different alert sounds for different things? I don't really like hearing the same alert sound for email, text messages, full battery, etc. Also, is there a way to turn off notifications from popping up?

If you've had a speech class, you shouldn't have any problems. Sometimes my Texas accent comes out and it has no clue, lol. Each program has a notification setting that will allow you to customize the way it sounds. Click on the menu button on the left and look for settings. Dig around, and you should find it. It's hidden in each program differently. As for the pop ups, I'm not getting those, but I'm sure that someone can help you out there.

When I try to change the notifications, all notification sounds go back to the same thing. I change it for text message and then my screen notification alert changes to the same thing.

You could try the app... light flow in the market or depending on which apps you are using that may be a native function in the specific app settings...

See, you're the second person to say that. I think it might be a bug. I get sooooo many emails, texts, ect, that there's no way I want this thing to make a noise. I can say that I setup my text messages to vib, but nothing else, and that's the only vib I get. (Other than the phone ringing.) I'm sure someone else will chime in. We'll see.

I can set a sound for text but if I go and make notifications 0% volume then I don't even get text sounds.

i wanted to do the same thing .light flow let me change the notification light but its not letting me change the sound for text and email.. so i have it set for that little tweeting bird. its the quietest one.

I think I finally got it figured out now. Figured out how to get them working properly and even uploaded some new notification sounds.
